2007 World Wushu Championships

Released: After consultations with the BOCOG and other parties, the dates and venue for hosting the 9th World Wushu Championships and Qualifying Competition for 2008 Wushu Tournament is now fixed. The competition will be held in Beijing from November 11th to 17th, The IWUF secretariat will formally inform the EC and TC about the details. After all are confirmed we will notify  the member associations. 2007. The regulations of the Championship and the criteria for the selection will be drafted by the IWUF Technical Committee, and will be submitted to the Executive Committee for approval.

Since the stadium for the venue of the 9th World Wushu Championships is under renovation and wushu competition shall be held after Handball Qualification System for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, the 9th World Wushu Championships will be held in early November 2007. The Regulations of the Championships will be circulated to all the IWUF members in April, 2007. The IWUF Technical Committee, Medical Committee, Traditional Wushu Committee, Marketing & Development Committee meetings and 9th Congress will also be held during this time. Proposals for the IWUF Constitution and nominations for election shall be submitted to the IWUF Secretariat 6 months prior to the Congress.
